News - French Toast offering kids casual clothes

French Toast is best known for its children's uniform and dress code wear. But did you know that it also has its own line of casual clothes for kids too? Recently this line has expanded a little more. I've mentioned the casual wear in passing, but right now they've gotten more styles in, so I thought it was time to write an update about that.

What are the styles like?

The styles are very similar to those of Gymboree (if you're wondering what happened to them, the Gymboree brand has been bought by The Children's Place). So if you miss the playful take on a preppy look of Gymboree, then you'll enjoy the new styles of casual wear from French Toast. You can check out their casual wear, which they call After School, here on the French Toast website. Sizes go from 4 to 14.

My particular favorites are this girl's short sleeve ruffle front top for spring, and this boy's blue and red short sleeve plaid woven shirt (looks great, and it'll do double duty for 4th of July). Both were well under $10 a piece at the time of writing.

The After School line by French Toast is well worth looking into, both for its beautiful styling that is reminiscent of Gymboree, and for its low price point. The other helpful thing is that many other parents aren't yet aware of the After School line of casual wear, even if they shop at French Toast for school wear. This means that if you shop there, you're unlikely to see another kid wearing the same clothes as your child, making this store a bit of a "hidden gem".
